1.     Vinegar mixed with some salt is a great facial scrub. Gently rub the vinegar and salt scrub onto the face and leave it on for half an hour before washing. You can also use plain apple cider vinegar as a facial cleanser. Put the vinegar on a cotton ball and use it as you would a toner.

2.     Mint is another popular healing herb that effectively fights acne. Crush some mint leaves to get the juice and apply directly on the skin.

3.     Lemons are loaded with Vitamin C which boosts the immune system. A strong immune system is essential in fighting acne and other infections. Mix some lemon juice with some rosewater and apply with a cotton ball. Let the skin absorb the lemon juice and rosewater for about 30 minutes. Do this 2-3 times a day.

4.     Cucumber can be used in various acne home remedies. Juice made out of cucumber can be taken as a drink or applied directly onto the face with a cotton ball. A paste can also be made out of cucumber to be used as a face mask.

5.     Fruits that have lots of acid make great acne-fighting facial masks. Mangoes, grapefruits, oranges, avocados, and tomatoes are rich in acid that help treat acne problems. Combine a paste of any of these fruits with oil-absorbing oatmeal. Leave the pulp on the face for at least 20 minutes. Wash off with cold water.
