I’m just a simple man.  I have a wife, 2 children, and one due any day now. Why page one, you’re probably thinking?  Research has shown that almost 90% (89.71%) of searchers click on the first page (1-10) of results. In other words, a whopping 9 out of every 10 search engine users click on page one results!

Page two (11-20) listings attract just 4.37% of clicks, while page three (21-30) attracts a mere 2.42% of clicks.

Did you know that over 42% of clicks are on the #1 result, nearly 12% are on the second result, and just 8.47% for the 3rd result? In other words, out of every 100 searchers, 42 click on the #1 listing, 12 on the second, and 8 on the third.
