How Do We Know it Works?

After years of playing roulette, poker and even pai-gow with varying results, I realized the game with the best odds, straight up, was Blackjack. So I then put years of research into numerous systems keeping up with casino trends and finally decided I was ready to put them to use. I actively gambled as my profession and in my first year cashed out with a modest $78,000k in sheer profit and that doesn’t include the cash value of weekly flights from Los Angeles, the extravagant hotel rooms, and the amazing food that was all comped for me by the casinos!

The next year I got caught! I was midway thru my second day playing highstakes Blackjack at a fairly well known casino on the strip, when I got pulled off a table by security. I was already up about $3,000 in loose chips which they politely gathered and brought along with me to a private room. Honest to god, I thought I was being invited to a special game for high rollers. They told me that through my casino host, they had recognized a steady stream of winnings every trip to Vegas and asked me if I was cheating. When I said No, they just smiled and made me wait a little longer. Since card counting is not technically illegal, there was nothing they could really do. The security officer made a call and within a few minutes another man entered the room. He told me he knew I was counting but was more concerned that I was playing with a team. Again I said,  No, and with a sly smile he asked me if I would like to work for the casino!

I was blown away and for the next year I worked with security on the floor, spotting team play and finding card cheats. The casino bankrolled my gambling (and let me keep 10% of my winnings) so that I could blend in with the players. By looking for how I would play the game, I spotted many counters as well as cheats who were as bold as palming a pre-rigged shoe of cards. What I saw and learned was amazing but most importantly there were 2 big things. One, the system works, and 2, that with basic skills and card counting, the lone gambler is the hardest to spot.....
