Well to be 100% honest, they are not completely lying to you. They just don’t tell you the "whole" truth. They don’t fully advise you and tell you the best techniques and the fail proof ways to get more. Instead they sort of create a smokescreen in all of their sayings, their words fool us by seeming helpful and encouraging while instead they are holding back the full truth and hope you fail before you even start. They really don’t like to see other people becoming successful in the same way as they themselves have, it lowers their value and it’s sort of an ego thing. Imagine if you became very successful (which you hopefully will) and all of a sudden you see everybody else around becoming extremely successful just like you. You wouldn’t feel as proud or special would you? It won’t seem as if you have accomplished a great feat. Another example would be if you bought a new Mercedes and when you pull up at a friend’s party and you see that everyone in the parking lot has the same car, then you wouldn’t feel as "cool" or special would you? Even though having lots of money and having a fancy car are on two different scales, you still get the idea.

They are threatened by your potential success…
Most of the time when a seller guides you the wrong way it is because they fear that you will eventually become competition for them. They are threatened by the potential you possess and if you got the right model and information in your hands then you could cause them great harm and put a knock on their income, so they might as well help you fail while get money for selling you the false information.
