I had never felt so embarrassed in all my life…

My husband asked me to his office staff party earlier this year, and after much hesitation, (because I really didn’t think I had anything stunning to wear) I finally agreed. After hours and hours of trying on dresses and tops that fit, but buttoms that didn’t, I finally settled on a nice red evening gown with shimmering sequins flowing all over it.

We arrived at the party in style. I stayed on my husband’s arm walking around the room as he exchanged pleasantries and introduced me to his boss and other co-workers, and I was having a fantastic time…

…until, what every woman to any upscale social gathering dreads happening!

The night suddenly started turning into a bad dream…because something was definitely wrong with this picture I was looking at!

…It was not unique…I was not alone, but a clone and a copycat!

All of a sudden, what was supposed to look stunningly beautiful on me alone, started looking like some tacky uniform that I had found in a fire-sale bin over  at some thrift store…two (2) other ladies walked into the room wearing the identical outfit I had carefully chosen for this special night for my husband.

…and to make matters worse, I could almost feel people whispering and laughing in the background at the three stooges who couldn’t find anything better to wear…I hear them snickering and someone said, "hey, ask the ladies over there to bring you a drink, they must be the waitresses".

But to add insult to injury, one of the women slowly walked over, looked me from head to toe like I was dirt, and then said, "you should have found something else to wear because you can’t compete with this" while moving her hands down her body.

I believe that the drive home was the most difficult one I’ve ever had…my husband just sat there in silence until we got home, then quickly changed and went straight to bed. I stayed up half the night feeling horrible because I knew he was totally embarrassed.

…It was not that I couldn’t afford nice clothes, but it was just that the top would fit and the bottom was too big or too small, or the bottom would fit and the top was too big or too small.

…or there was nothing there in a size that I was comfortable in that made me look and feel great when I saw myself in the mirror.
You Never Have To Have An Experience Like That…

It is my hope that you never have to experience an embarrassing situation like that ever during your life-time…and gues what? you don’t have too…

Now before I continue, I may have assumed that you’re a little like me and have the same problems when it comes to finding clothing that not only fits well and accentuates all your natural curves, but also feels comfortable and makes you happy with what you’re wearing.

But hey, maybe you’re not like me at all…maybe you have a body like a supermodel and can fit into anything you find on the racks at your favorite department store.
