So who exactly am I?

Well...my name is Jeremy Dean and, my story is really personal and I’m ashamed of it but I need to be honest with you-I’m a lifelong smoker. Whose mother died from metastasized breast cancer as did her sister (my aunt). My father had kidney cancer 20 years ago, but he got luckier than my mother because they removed the cancerous kidney and he is now an active healthy 80+ year old.

With that family history as background, I went for my annual routine physical in 2007. As usual they did a chest x-ray. The difference was I got a call from my Doctor’s office saying they saw something suspicious and wanted me to go for a CAT scan.

Well, given my family history and decades of tobacco use, you can just imagine the great fear and dread that came over me.

Did I want to go for the CAT scan.... hell NO! Why.... because, who wants to hear they have lung cancer! Did I go for the CAT scan? Well...NO not yet!.....
