My name is Nia Shanks, and I have been a certified personal trainer for six years. In that time I have struggled to lose weight and sculpt the body I truly wanted, but eventually discovered the easiest, most enjoyable, and stress-free way to accomplish my body transformation goals in the least amount of time. I tried every fat loss program ever created, and I also experimented with different diets in hopes of building the body I’ve always wanted – a lean, strong, healthy, feminine physique.

While I may have achieved some results, at the end of the day I was miserable and not where I wanted to be.

I wasn’t getting the results I wanted, I absolutely hated going to the gym, and all of the dieting methods I had tried left me with nothing but an eating disorder that took several years to get over. Needless to say, I was frustrated and desperately needed to find a better route to achieve fat loss and build a healthy body, and mind.

That is when the Fat Loss Detour was born
In an effort to transform my body, and mind, I started experimenting with different training methods. The most effective method I discovered that allowed me to completely transform my body and mind was training for performance and following stress-free nutrition principles that were incredibly simple to follow.

No longer would I go into the gym and worry about how many calories I was going to burn, what percentage was from fat, and all of that other non-sense. Each time I stepped foot in the gym I focused on improving my performance, and nothing else.

After a couple of months, something amazing happened:

My body transformed: I had reached an all time low body fat percentage, and I developed a lean, athletic, toned appearance. Not only was my body finally the way I wanted it, but my mind was changed as well.

Instead of being motivated by negative thoughts (“I need to lose weight”, “I don’t like how I look”) my workouts were driven by positive motivators – I want to improve my performance.

Not only did I discover a phenomenal training method that led to fat loss, but I also searched long and hard for the easiest, most stress-free nutrition principles I could find that would lead to long term, effortless weight loss. Once I found what I was looking for, my eating disorder became a thing of the past........
