My name is Scott and I’ve been playing piano for about 15 years now.  (well... TRYING to play for about 15 years).

And I’ll be dead honest, it wasn’t until about 5 years ago that I actually was good enough to turn some heads!  (The other 10 years were wasted on piano lessons, trial and error, and just plain frustration).

Like most people, I started out by taking piano lessons - and let me tell you... it was probably the most boring 3 months of my LIFE!

The problem is this:

The traditional ways of learning piano are the OPPOSITE of a shortcut to "true" mastery.  They simply make you work like a dog, for VERY little reward.

Plus, most people I know who were "professionally trained" can only play if they have notes written out in front of them.

They couldn’t pick out a song by ear, or... *GASP* write a song themselves if their life depended on it!

And you know what?  I MUCH rather be the one WRITING the epic tale instead of just READING the epic tale...

Heck, you can probably think of 50 influential authors or music creators right now. 

But I bet you can’t think of 5 people known for reading books or just playing other peoples music.

Now I’m not saying it’s bad to read music... I’m just saying it’s it’s boring as heck to learn. 

And it’s MUCH less impressive - and fulfilling - then doing it by ear :)

If I want to learn a song, I learn it by ear.  And play it back using my "pattern" secrets.

And since I’ve learned the song on my own, I can switch it up and make it a little different if I want to.   Instead of just being a "piano robot".......
